GDS303 Multiplexer

 

General Introduction

TS multiplexer is a DVB special device. It functions as re-multiplexing the SPTS(single program TS) and MPTS(multi programs TS). During the application, it receives TS stream that provided by facilities such as the satellite receiver and encoder. According to the system configuration, it parses out the specified A/V stream and then restructures a new TS stream. After multiplexing, the MPTS transmitted to QAM, QPSK, QFDM or other devices to finish the next process. Considering the significance of multiplexer in head-end system, the multiplexing core of our product completely adopts FPGA to guarantee excellent performance. It also chooses ARM9 embedded processor and network operating system to realize various ways for system management. Users could manage the device by different ways, such as front panel, RS232 series interface, telnet, HTTP and SNMP.

 

Features

  1. Support multiplexing of 1-16 single program TS (SPTS) and multi programs TS (MPTS) which completely conform to ISO/IEC13818-1ETSI EN300468 and ETR211 standard;
  2. 8 ASI inputs allow 180 programs input at most;
  3. 4 ASI outputs of the same source, the output bit rate could be selected from 20 to 100Mbps and the step length is 0.5Mbps;
  4. Detecting the pattern of the 188/204 input TS packet automatically;
  5. The length of output TS packet (188/204) is selectable;
  6. Generating and processing PSI/SI information automatically;
  7. User could edit the PSI/SI information, such as program name, provider, etc;
  8. Function as filtering PID and empty packets;
  9. Users could remap every PID in stream received;
  10. Each program would be automatically corrected under the high accurate PCR and the jitter is controlled within ±100ns;
  11. Support connection of independent scrambler;
  12. Support EPG insertion;
  13. The latency from multiplexer input to output is normally kept below 1ms;
  14. Users could manage the device by different ways, such as front panel, RS232 series interface, telnet, HTTP and SNMP;
  15. System software could be updated through TFTPFTP protocol over internet.
